Outcome

One piece of news, pitched exclusively to a targeted media list that you retain and published on a leading newswire.

The goal of most media outreach is coverage, and the best way to get reporters to cover news in today's environment is to give them exclusivity. Nothing gets their attention like a scoop.

Every piece of news we release is shopped as exclusive, because that’s the best practice right now. When we secure a commitment from one reporter to take the exclusive, we schedule an interview between the journalist and the client, provide a briefing document—and then get out of the way.

The goal is always one piece of foundational press coverage for the news in question. After the exclusive runs, we pitch the news out to other reporters who cover the same beat to capture any day-two coverage we can.

The final step of the process is a news release distributed via newswire, which puts the news on the record and ensures that it hits Google News and other aggregators.

Timeline

News announcements tend to take between two and six weeks to release as exclusive.

Terms

We bill each news campaign as an individual project, with half the fees paid up front and the other half debited upon completion.

If no exclusive is secured—which occasionally happens—then the second installment is waived. Under that scenario, the news is still put on the newswire and sent to the target media list afterwards.

$6,000 per campaign
